Role Summanry/Purpose:

To perform development programming duties as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

Individuals in this position will perform work at a level of complexity typically considered to be within the capabilities of a degreed programmer/analyst with 2-5 years of professional applications development programming experience with ASP.net and C#.

Under general supervision and within an agile development environment, applies software systems design, analysis and programming techniques to the development and maintenance of software systems. Performs analysis and programming tasks, including the coding, testing, and debugging of new software and maintenance, modification, and enhancement of existing software. Creates and recommends database design. Develops software in accordance with design specs and programming standards and with guidance from more senior development staff members. Prepares system level documentation for all programming performed. Works closely with the Qualtiy Assurance department to resolve issues and improve functionality. Liaisons with Professional Services staff and with Product Support staff to assure a clear understanding of the user needs and to regularly review and discuss the effectiveness of the proposed solution.


Qualifications/Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other directly related and technically comparable academic area. Experience with ASP.Net, C#, Java, and SQL Server is required. A strong candidate will also have experience web-based, client facing applications in a high-paced agile development environment. Excellent intellectual skills and the ability to identify and evaluate alternative solutions to a problem is a must. Candidate must be able to read, understand, correctly interpret and apply programming design documents and specifications, and be able to operate within general technical instructions and guidelines. Must be a good listener, good communicator, quick learner, and able to work effectively with a variety of end-user oriented individuals.


Desired Characteristics:
Educational attainment equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
