Software Engineer, JavaScript UI Developer

Rocket Lawyer Mexico Are you interested in building products used by millions of people? Do you like shipping code at a rapid pace? Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced Front End Engineer that is passionate about building mobile and desktop web applications. This position is full-time and is based in our Saltillo office.

Responsibilities:
Work with Product Designers to implement the next generation of Rocket Lawyer products Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks Participate in design and code reviews Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of JavaScript Expert knowledge of latest web technologies (HTML5/CSS3)
Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components Aware of but not reliant on Object Oriented JavaScript Frameworks (JQuery, Prototype JS, MooTools, Dojo, etc. )
Experience with integrating back-end web services, via REST-based APIs.
Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS/AJAX Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
3+ years of experience building web applications
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Highly Desired:
Knowledge of web architecture and the HTTP protocol.
Experience with Angular. js, Backbone. js and Handlebars. js
Experience with MVC development.
Knowledge of caching strategies.
Experience developing responsive web sites for web, tablets, and smart pones.
